Description:
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Architecture, the IT Solution and Integration Architect ensures the IT solution strategy and planning is aligned with the program and project business rules.

He/she leads the development of policies, standards and guidelines principles (i.e. integration with the application within VIA’s ecosystem) as well as the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology solution within the organization.

The IT Solution architect is also responsible to document architectural models’ views including application/solution architecture, technical/infrastructure, information/data and business architecture.

He/she needs to have knowledge and experience in implementing a Maximo solution for existing and new assets requiring integration to existing and decommissioning of legacy applications.

This expertise of the Maximo solution is key for this position given the mandate associated with the position.

Tasks :

1- Designs and develops IT Solution architecture (integrated processes, applications, data and technology) aligned to business needs and enforce conformance to enterprise architecture guidelines and standards. Is responsible for understanding the program needs for systems integration and associated design principles.

2- Advises other architects in selecting the implementation patterns. Plays a key role in the decomposition of the recommended solution sub-systems and subsequently supervise the development and integration.

3- Works with solutions architect(s) to provide a consensus-based enterprise solution that is scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with ever changing business needs.

4- Collaborates with architects on infrastructure non-functional requirements, design, performance, data and modernization in alignment with the overall organization infrastructures architecture strategy.

5- Mentors and coaches employees and stakeholders in specific areas of expertise related to IT Solution and Integration architecture.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.

10 years of experience related to technology and as a Solution and Integration Architect with Maximo (at least 5 years)

Comprehensive knowledge of IT Governance, hardware, software, application and systems engineering and complex software and applications integration.

Extensive experience in the full solutions cycle architectural point of view including business needs, assessing the current situation, design, implementation and deployment.

Key technologies needed for this role: Maximo and optional (SAP Inventory module).

Experience with one or more enterprise architecture framework.
